MONTHLY SUPPORT CONTRACT/REMOTE SUPPORT CONTRACT
Clients who wish to, can avail themselves of either of our two support contracts.
Monthly Support Contract
- High-ranking Problem-solving & Support Services which means that we will endeavour to
deal with your problems within 24 hours and above other non-contract clients
who are dealt with on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- One free call-out per month.
- Two hours free labour on-site or off-site. If these hours are not utilised within one month,
a credit of 30 minutes gets carried over to the following month.
- Hourly labour rates for Support Contract clients will be discounted by 10%. This includes
web-design.
- Hardware normally comes with a carry-in warranty and labour charges for resetting up and
reconfiguring units are not covered by this factory warranty.
Labour charges for Support Contract clients will, in these instances, be
discounted by 50%.
- Free Webmail support for clients with Web Hosting Contracts with us. This is specific to
creating, deleting, clearing and forwarding of e-mails received by client's
Internet domain.
- Free Website Advertising. This allows the Purchaser to place an advertisement particular to the
individual/organisation on the allotted page on our website together with a
link to your own home page.
If the client does not have a website, we will create one and host this on our website. The
fee for this service will be discounted by 50%.
- The Remote Support service is added to the services enjoyed by Monthly
Support Contract Clients and the monthly charge of R150 will not apply to
them. However, they will need to have a permanent Internet connection,
in order to utilise this service.

Remote Support Contract
As the business world begins to realise the necessity of a
permanent Internet connection, so, too, has the requirements arisen for a secure
Internet connection. Many of our clients have installed server computers for just this
purpose, together with effective firewall, anti-virus and spyware programs. Further, backing up important data (the loss of which can be highly destructive)
has become an essential daily function. However, the maintenance of these systems is becoming more
complex and time-consuming and we find that our average client does not have
either the time or the requisite skills to do so. Consequently, systems fall
behind in regular house-keeping, become vulnerable and, finally lead to problems
which cost a lot to repair. In answer to this we have researched and now developed a
maintenance option which we are now offering to all clients who are permanently
connected to the Internet. This service is called : REMOTE SERVER and DESKTOP SUPPORT. We can remotely connect to an internet connected machine and work
on it as if we were sitting in front of it, for example:
- Checking Anti-virus / Firewall / Spyware / Windows / Office updates
Checking that the back-up is working correctly
Copying necessary files to and installing applications on the Remote PC
Trouble-shoot driver software (e.g. printers) and other software issues which may arise
Clean-up system files, delete temporary files and check that scheduled tasks are being
completed
- Check logs
- Modify settings for service programs and edit mail settings
- Remotely reboot the PC if necessary.
In short, most software problems can be solved online by us
without the user needing to be involved at all, or us needing to physically be
onsite.
Problem-solving is quicker and solutions can usually be effected immediately.
Pro-active maintenance – regular check-ups prevent problems from occurring.
Cheaper – no call-out charges and a preferential hourly rate for online support.
Learning tool – if a client does not understand something, we can show them while online.
Any other problems which may occur and need urgent action, together with any problems
needing online support during the month, will be charged at a preferable rate.
Any work done on a machine will be logged in a text file on the desktop of the machine so
the client will know exactly what was done on the machine.
